This BE1 patterned brass tactile stud is manufactured from premium brass and is finished with pyramid-shaped protrusions on the surface. At 25mm in diameter and 5mm in height, this stud is in line with DfT guidelines, meaning they are suitable for use in guiding the visually impaired in public and private settings.

Material Information

The BE1 tactile stud is made from high-quality brass, providing an attractive finish and complement to any aesthetic. The brass can be regularly treated to maintain its lustre or alternatively it can be left to weather and patina.

Design

The BE1 tactile stud features bevelled edges leading up to a unique patterned surface that optimises grip. The shape of the stud provides ample tactile feedback while remaining unobtrusive to pedestrians.

Installation

There are two installation methods for these studs:

1. Machined Pin - Drill and resin
2. Self-adhesive

Please note: If installing using self-adhesive, ensure the surface is cleaned and prepared in advance. When using resin, be aware it may take up to 24 hours for the resin to completely set. Drilling installation equipment required: Drill, drill bit, push pump, epoxy resin, and applicator gun.
