How Long Will We Keep Your Data?

Studmarc will never keep your data for longer than is necessary for us to complete the activity for which your data was collected in the first place. How We Share Data

We will never sell your personal data to any external organisation.

We will share your data with companies that are essential to providing our services to you and contract fulfilment. This includes organisations which are critical to fulfilling customers’ orders including manufacturers, sub-contractors and couriers when required.

On occasion, we may share your data with companies and Local Authorities with a legitimate interest in order to show a demand for our products and services. In these circumstances, your data will be anonymised and used for statistical purposes only, and no personally identifiable information will be shared.

Accessing Your Data

You have the right to ask us, in writing, for a copy of all the personal data we hold about you. This is known as a “Subject Access Request”. A Subject Access Request form can be requested by emailing your request and two copies of valid identification to: [email protected]. Valid forms of identification are:

  • Passport or driving licence
  • Utility bill (from last 3 months)
  • Bank statement (from last 3 months)

Updating or Amending Your Personal Data

Withdrawal of Consent and Right to Be Forgotten

If, at any time, you want to withdraw your consent to data processing activities, or you wish to have your data securely deleted from our database, you can do so by requesting a Data Subject Consent Withdrawal Form by email: [email protected]. Upon receipt of the signed Data Subject Consent Withdrawal Form, Studmarc will stop any processing activities that relied on this consent and securely delete your data if requested.

Data Privacy and Security

We maintain a comprehensive data management work programme, which includes processes for ensuring that data protection is a key consideration of all new and existing IT systems that hold customers personal data. Where any concerns, risks or issues are identified, we conduct relevant impact assessments in order to determine any actions that are necessary to ensure optimum privacy.

We also maintain an active information security work programme which seeks to protect the availability, confidentiality and integrity of all physical and information assets. Specifically, this programme helps us to:

Card Payment Security

We hold no customer credit card details in our databases. During the checkout process customer credit card details are hosted by payment gateway companies.  The payment gateways we use have stringent security policies and are PCI DSS compliant.
